About the Retreat

Please read about the retreat below and respond to the next two questions. Your answers can be as brief or as long as you want them to be.

  • The retreat description speaks of returning to intimate relationship with more than human beings, i.e., rock and stream, tree and bush, and wild creatures -- having conversation with a wild one, a sacred other. During the retreat you will be invited to spend hours alone in the forest engaging in soul work.  The retreat includes times of council (listening and speaking from the heart in sacred circle), ceremony, chant, and dance.
  • The Retreat House is a family-style seven-bedroom cabin in the woods.  There are two full baths and two half baths which are shared.  Some of the two-person rooms have bunks. TheRetreat House is not wheelchair accessible nor is it ADA compliant.
  • Rolling Ridge is relatively remote, access is by private vehicle only. The last mile is over a gravel mountain road.  The hiking trails and paths are winding, uneven and stony, and occasionally crossed with roots.
Given the nature of this retreat, is it something that you are drawn to enter into at this point in your life? If so, tell us a bit about your journey and how you see this retreat fitting in. What about or within the retreat description drew you to apply?
We are aware that the cost for this retreat may be a stretch for some. We have scholarships available, up to one-third or one-half of the cost. Would you like to apply for a scholarship? How much?
