Walking the Heroine's Journey in Edge Times
A women’s retreat at Rolling Ridge
May 31-June 2, 2024

Friday 4 pm (arrive by 3 pm) – Sunday 2 pm (including lunch – program ends at 12:30 pm)

Rolling Ridge Study Retreat is located near Harpers Ferry, WV, on 1600 acres of mountain forest, crisscrossed by streams and hiking trails. Access is by private vehicle only.  The last mile is over gravel mountain roads.  The Retreat House is a seven bedroom family-style cabin, with two full bathrooms and two half baths.  It is possible to camp under the surrounding trees or in the clearing behind the house.  The facilities for the retreat include a Meditation Shelter, Art Cottage, and clean and comfortable outhouse.  Most of the program takes place outdoors.  Plan on bringing a camp chair, backpack, water bottle, and flashlight.

The retreat can take up to 14 women, and in order to accommodate all, we are requesting that women opt for sharing a room if possible. Three of the shared rooms in the Retreat House have a bunk bed; one has two beds.  The rooms with bunks can accommodate a floor futon mattress, if climbing to the top bunk is not feasible.  You can register with a friend and designate her as your roommate, or you can simply register for a shared room and we will assign you a roommate.

The Retreat House also has three rooms with single beds (full beds and a twin). We have one space in the Cordwood Cottage, which has electricity and access to the Retreat House for facilities.

As we recognize the attraction of having a separate, single sleeping space, this year for the first time we are offering assisted camping—we will help you set up and take down an individual tent; if you don’t have a tent, we have some you can borrow.  You will need to bring a sleeping mat and bag or bedroll. Campers have access to the Retreat House for facilities.

To register you must complete this registration form and make a $50 deposit.  You can make your deposit online or send it in via check.

Shared room: $280 each
Camping: $200
Cordwood Cottage: $225
Single room: $395

The fee for this retreat is based on the nature of the retreat, cost of lodging and food, and modest compensation for four leaders. We realize that the fee may be beyond the ability of some and have obtained a small grant to provide partial scholarships.

Scholarships apply to both single and double occupancy. Request a scholarship using the scholarship application form.

To attend we request that you take a COVID self-test on the morning of May 31 and email or text Lindsay with the result.
