Can work be fun, renewing, relational?
Yes!
But don't take our word for it.
Come to our annual spring work day and find out for yourself!
Afer all, it's almost spring!
Time for a little renewal of body and spirit, don't you think?
Arrive at 9:30 am and be welcomed with steaming coffe and fragrant tea, fresh-from-the-oven muffins, and friends new and old.
Work begins promptly at 10 am.
Work where you will find it most enjoyable:
- the garden (learn about permaculture while helping to prepare for planting)
- the spring (learn about the source of our own sweet mountain water)
- indoor spring cleaning (enjoy the serenity and simple aesthetic of our welcoming retreat house)
- the forest (learn the story of our many felled trees and enjoy the physical camaraderie of splitter and wood pile)
Bring a bag lunch ... and something to share ... because
at 1:00 we take a break, open our lunches, talk, and laugh a lot, then
replenished in body and spirit, we start work anew at 2:00 and end at 4:00 (or so).
Are you loving being here? ... if so,
Stay overnight at the Retreat House as our guest, share in a community potluck supper (these happen all the time around here), and if the storytelling, singing, and hanging out spirit prompts, join in an evening bonfire at our ever-ready and welcoming fire ring.
And if that wasn't enough to entice you, remember that the hours you log count toward the commitment of your partner group: enjoy yourself, encourage your community!
Please let us know that you are coming.
