The distillation of all wisdoms: we can rejoin our isolated wills with Love's Will

The knowing heart is receptive to the intelligence of Being and is guided by Being. When the heart is awakened and purified, it establishes a connection to Spirit; our finest and noblest capacities are unlocked, our sacred humanness is revealed. What it comes down to, the distillation of all wisdoms, is this: we can rejoin our isolated wills with Love's Will through the knowing of the heart.

In our sleep, against our will, comes wisdom

Pain that cannot forget, falls drop by drop upon the heart,
and in our sleep, against our will, comes wisdom through the
awful grace of God.

We do not learn such wisdom on our own

In the immense field of divine compassion, countless small life fields are interwoven with each other. When human hearts deepen through some form of contemplation, there emerges in them an intuition of human oneness prior to all separation ... a "communion of saints.  "In each religion's communal story, there is a way of handing on from generation to generation this transforming perception of universal solidarity in the Mystery. We do not learn such wisdom on our own. We receive this wisdom from someone else.

Wisdom has been defined as crystallized pain

Wisdom has been defined as crystallized pain.
It is the distilled essence of experience: of
pain and pleasure, sorry and joy, darkness and light.

Who will teach the young wisdom?

"Who will teach the young wisdom and discipline? "

Wisdom is not taught, systems are taught. Wisdom comes from experiencing life, or it never comes at all. And life is its own discipline.

"What produces growth and progress? "

Perhaps if we are not pushed and prodded or made to feel ashamed, we will achieve our growth — and our joy as well.

Wisdom is found by those who seek her

Wisdom is radiant and unfading, and she is easily discerned by those who love her, and is found by those who seek her.  She hastens to make herself known to those who desire her.  One who rises early to seek her will have no difficulty, for she will be found sitting at the gate.  She goes about seeking those worthy of her, and she graciously appears to them in their paths, and meets them in every thought.

Wisdom leads to joy

Pleasure is one thing; wisdom is another.  The first leads to sorrow, though pleasant at the time.  The latter, though at first unpleasant, leads to lasting joy.

~ an Indian scripture

Wisdom has no limitations

Wisdom  has no limitations and embraces the profound as well as the simple.  She can be found in the huts of the poor and in the palaces, in workshops and in lecture halls.  She deals with the most profound speculations on the creation of the world and the very nature of God and even with the inability of men and women to come up with adequate answers to these great mysteries.  Wisdom tells us to be attentive to her and to incline our ears to her understanding.
